Date: 13 Sep 1995 12:25:12 GMT Organization: Connectivity Lines: 14 Message-ID: <harverso-1309951428010001@harverso.aztec.co.za> NNTP-Posting-Host: harverso.aztec.co.za I have a problem with the bad144'ing of my HD on one of the machines I run. It seems that interactive unix (which used to run the machine) and FreeBSD are not agreed on the drive size, and what is happening is that bad144 claims : bad sector is out of range. (ermm.. that truncated, the error messages scrolled off a while ago. This would not be a problem except the bad sector is still on the drive and unmarked and bad144 freaks about the sector that's not there before it scans it and It is crashing every once in a while when reading off that bad sector. Is this feasible ? Can I clear the disks bad sector table somehow and start again ? Tony\
