I stand corrected.  Søren Schmidt wrote me that syscons does also
generate SIGWINCHes, and does also properly fill in the window size
struct.  So i don't have an idea where your problem originates.

I don't know whether Søren continues to develop syscons (either case,
he is maintaining it actively).  pcvt development will continue, and
yes, of course you can change colors, load fonts etc.  The major
difference between both drivers is the goal: syscons wants to emulate
the SCO console, while pcvt does its best to emulate a DEC VT-series
terminal.

No idead about the bloat, i believe it's less than 100 KB.
