The prices are incredibly inflated. They want $2,495 for a 386/40 with 10 ports. I can take a digibaord with 16 ports for $800 (xem) and get a 386/40 for $150. Oh, the exra license for BSDI(to use as the OS for the com server) is $250. So I can build a better com server for half the price.. hhmm, Think ill just build one. ALso, the portmaster doesnt have any menuing capabilites unless I wanna code a login source. Basically, the portmaster which many people in this group praised to be king, is no more than the jester. Does anyone know of good comservers under $1300?
