Hi.

I just tried installing 386BSD 0.1 into my 386-33 8 meg system, with
little success. The Tiny-BSD disk booted normally, and with little
problem. Once I installed the systel using the "install" script,
and rebooted, the computer goes on into an endless cycle of reboots.

It reboots, shows a couple of system configuration things (western
digital controller, Conner IDE, etc). Until then, it seems fine.
However 10 seconds into the reboot, I get this message which flashes
by very quickly due to the automatic rebooting. I was finally
able to piece what the error was by turning the turbo off of the machine
and rebooting many times, catching glimpes of the message each time.
This is what it said:

The operating system is saving a copy of RAM to device 1, offset 0
(hit any key to abort)[amount left to save(MB)] - device bad
system rebooting

Is it trying to say that my memory is bad? I do not think this is
the case, since I have successfully used DOS, Windows, OS/2 2.0, and
Linux without any problems so far. And memory check seems to
detect no error either.

My system is a 386-33 Intel 120 Connor IDE 8 megs RAM, with 2 floppies,
drive A=1.22meg B=1.4meg I have installed a Paradise PVGA card
with 512k.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
