I'd like to be able to assign IP addresses by modem port rather than by
username so as to conserve IP addresses. Does anyone know how to
do this?

Even if dynamic IP addressing isn't possible, I'd like to be able to send
the IP address to the SLIP dialin user so their dialer could hand it off to
their TCP/IP stack, rather than forcing the user to type it in during
configuration. Then dialin users wouldn't have to worry about IP
addresses at all and the IP addresses could be changed without any user
intervention.

Thanks for your help.
