The ZyXel 2864I ISDN modem provides a parallel port to interface with the PC.
Running BONDed B channels with compression can run up to 480000 through the
parallel port with less drain on system resources than serial. I'm wondering
what it would take to use the parallel port this way with FreeBSD or Linux.
I'd also like to know if there is serial hardware and support to handle those
speeds, or if there is a device which can be programmed to offload some
processing from the CPU.
