Does xterm's scrollbar work? I've seen this : sort of problem happen when your XF86Config does not handle the middle : button of your mouse correctly (which is used to scroll Athena : scrollbars). It appears to receive a bunch of button-up and button- : down events each time the mouse is moved, so you in effect aren't : dragging anything around. Can you pop up the "VT Options" menu in an : xterm and select menu items off it? : -- Yep, xterms scrollbars work fine. Xman is a little more dodgy, within a manual page it works fine, but when changing to a list of manual pages the solid portion of the scrollbar is often not located where you would expect it to be (ie we are looking at manpages from a-d and the scrollbar is down the bottom of the window. A few mouse presses normally seems to fix the problem though. It is xemacs where the problem is most annoying. I seem to remember that xftp also had the same problem. I'll just try and see what happens if I go over to Microsoft mode on the mouse.
