Just some days ago, i got the DANTE unix tex from the german CTAN server and built it under FreeBSD 2.0.5. There were just some places where i had to adjust sys_errlist and a strange interaction with X include files where wchar_t is defined different than in stdlib.h/ansi.h. All in all i had to adjust the source in 3 or 4 places, otherwise it compiled out of the box and i'm very satisfied with the results. The URL where to find the package is ftp://ftp.dante.de/tex-archive/systems/unix/dante-src They did a great job! hellmuth -- Hellmuth Michaelis HCS Hanseatischer Computerservice GmbH Hamburg, Europe "There are lies, damn lies, and open systems."
