Last May, I colocated on the Ethernet of a local ISP a WWW/FTP server supporting the K-12 Academy One and Youth Net education programs. The machine consists of a no-name motherboard with a 486DX2-80, 16 MB ram, and a 560 MB IDE, running FreeBSD 2.0.950412-SNAP. I've had zero problems with the system; it just runs. Right now, the machine has been up for 42 days, and would stay up for a year or more if I'd buy a UPS for it! I read about all the new stuff Jordan and friends are developing for 2.1 and beyond, and I even purchased the 2.0.5R CD. But, to be quite honest, my old, unreliable SNAP is so reliable, I'm loath to make any changes. Perhaps you should consider building less reliable systems so we'd be motivated to upgrade... ;-) rb
