You may have problems with only 1 Meg of RAM.  From the INSTALL.NOTES file:

>      It is recommended that the system possess at least  2 MBytes of 
> memory, but more is definitely preferred.  A 4 MByte RAM system with
> a 200 MByte plus SCSI hard disk is a comfortable configuration.


In addition, if you want to run X-windows, you will most likely need at least
8 Megs of RAM to keep it from paging continuously.
