Whilst the problem might be one of the hardware problems mentioned, I was
getting this error on a router of mine on a coax Network (yes, Coax - you
remember, With the T-Pieces ? ;) When the coax segment wasn't closed
(someone stepped on one of the T-pieces and jarred it loosed.. You might
wanna check the integrity of the cables..
