Ever tried it? It's not as easy as you think -- most UNIX-based server apps use more than pure POSIX -- if you use the POSIX environment you can't use functions in the non-POSIX libraries. Not only that but VC++ doesn't come with the POSIX environment. You have to be on the Microsoft Developer Network to get the tools to develop in the POSIX environment. POSIX is just a checkoff item so that Microsoft can sell to government agencies who specify POSIX on their RFPs. -- Kaleb KEITHLEY
