not really. it's called "comp.unix.bsd" because it is supposed to
be for general bsd discussions. it's just that 386BSD is new and
popular so that's most of what people want to talk about just now.

this is a fine place to learn the answer to the following questions:

you get it by sending mail to keith some time when he's on vacation, since
his vacation message has in it everything you could want to know about how
to get BSD tapes. :-).

seriously, though, BSD for the VAX currently stops at the Reno release; the
newer Net-2 and upcoming 4.4 releases contain no VAX support at all. if you
want Reno you will need to prove to CSRG that you have a source license for
Bell Labs UNIX 32V or some AT&T/USL UNIX System V. (if you don't already
have one and are not an educational site, you can expect to pay Big Bucks
for this.)

once CSRG has a copy of your 32V (or System V) source license on file, they'll
cut you a tape in exchange for some small number of thousands of U.S. dollars.
contact bostic@okeeffe.cs.berkeley.edu to find out how much and where to
send it.

disclaimer: my employer didn't authorize this post; they think i'm *working*.
