They take up less space, display faster, and use a lot less memory and CPU. As long as the raw files are still available on the cdrom, I would be more than happy to just have the processed man pages. Note: I know I can create and populate the cat1, etc directories. It just makes sense that they should be the default, or at least an option. Thanks! Raymond C. Maple mapler@delphi.com
