Not quite.  I am pretty sure that AT&T (*) correctly trademarked
the 'deathstar' logo because they had some problems _buying_ the
old 'bell' logo from some ordinary guy who trademarked it years-
and years ago.  I think I heard of this during some discussions
of what a company has to do to protect trademarks (probably in
relation to Xerox corp. copiers).

(*) AT&T is a modem reset command.
