Something I found out while playing around with SLIP between my
FreeBSD box and the Linux box of my friend. I set up the CERN 3.0
server on my box and we tried to install Mosaic 2.6 for Linux on his
box: When I added the line "order hosts, bind" to my /etc/host.conf
the Linux resolver in /lib/libc.so.4 worked correctly. The net effect
was, that Mosaic 2.6 for Linux works better on my machine than on
his. ;) On the Linux box Mosaic wouldn't run at all. Claimed to be
caught by an unnoticed bug. (He has Linux 1.0 or somewhat above...)

NOW I can start Linux xdoom (or Abuse.x11R6 for that matter) without
the -disp :0 that was necessary until then.
