We can't get our FTP daemon (ftpd under bsdi) to return directory listings when anonymous users login.
We have the ftpd chroot'ed to /usr/ftp/ and the etc, bin and pub dirs all owned by root and wheel, all dirs
and files are properly chmod'ed and the ls executable is in the /etc/ftp/bin/ dir.

The problem is, when an anonymous user logs in, they can't get a dir listing, but can change dirs and
download files if they know the exact name of the file.

What can we do to fix this?!

Any and all help much appreciated.
