The GNU version of su that comes with Linux allows this. The su from 2.0.5R does not support such a thing (unless I'm missing it). Can someone point me to the source for GNU su, or the FreeBSD port of it, or a way to execute a command from a script as another user. I need it to be able to start INN from rc.local, but execute it as user "news". Thanks. Pete Kruckenberg pete@inquo.net
