Well what a !@#$%^& MS made of that. I wont go into details of all the stuff ups but the main one is that when I do the upgrade it wipes over the boot manager i.e. F1: DOS, F2 FreeBSD etc What is the reccomended way to get the boot manager back after I install the DOS upgrade. I presume that there is a program (mbr ??) which writes the boot manager code to the sector 0 on the disk. Alternatively I can write a program to do this i.e read sector 0, save to file and rewrite it after the 6.22 upgrade. Question is doe the boot manager only use the first 512 bytes ?? or more !!
