Subject: Problems with TIP and 386BSD (maybe ANSI too)

I have problems with tip, and wonder if anyone could know how to fix it.
I am now using tip to call my universitys unix machine.
Every time I run emacs on the univ machine and exit emacs,
it garbles the termcap or somehow adds /200 (octal) to my keypressings, so
space is /240 instead of /040 -- weird.
Then I have to disconnect and re-connect from the bridge server.
On the bridge server my keys work just fine.
So, is it something to do with the univs machine ?
Hmm.. maybe I should ask them... wierd,
Because with dos and telix it never did this.
My 386bsd or tip does not seem to emulate ansi properly;
when it should just scroll the screen, it deletes the first character of the
line. So it looks like this:

 az%
 az%
yaz%

when I hit enter two times in the univ's machines csh.

Maybe this is a FAQ. I don't know.
