Date: 3 Oct 1995 21:36:06 GMT Organization: The University of British Columbia Lines: 24 Message-ID: <44sac6$hmh@nntp.ucs.ubc.ca> NNTP-Posting-Host: tupelo.ppc.ubc.ca I am having a problem with my second ide hard drive. I have a 2.0.5R system with a 500Mb and 450Mb ide hardrives on a 486DX2 PC. The problem is that after a while approx. a day, The system starts to send out lots of wd1 intrupt error, not sure of exact error, but it has something to do with inerupt timeout errors The filesystem on the first drive was put on during the installation of 2.0.5R, but the wd1 drive's filesytem was put on durign the installation of the 1.1.5.1R which I had on previously. When this start to happen the machine locks up and I cant log into shutdown the system (have to reboot) which causes all sorts of problems. Anybody else had this problem? Could this be a sign of my hard drive failing? By the way I have a VLB drive controller... Any help appreciated... thanks James
