Is FreeBSD soon to have ATAPI-IDE CD-ROM support? It seems as though this
is becoming much more popular and widespread than the proprietary types,
even though many may argue that SCSI is better. Can this support be
expected soon? If so, loading the Walnut Creek CD-ROM would then be
possible for me and others. As it is, Linux supports it (which may mean
nothing to some here), but they are the competition, and have seemingly
gotten a very easy installation process finalized (although a simpler
version is purportedly in the works.) Okay, so simpler is not always
better, but an old adage, something to do with Occam's Razor, says that
this may be the right way...a better mouse trap and all that...
