None of the Perl-5's that I've seen yet (including 5.001m) are even remotely stable, in my experience. I'm just a user of some perl scripts (mainly Lee McLoughlin's mirror and latex2html), and so far most of them have either had serious space leak problems, or dumped core on me. I've reverted to perl 4 in all cases where that is possible. Therefore, the FreeBSD team's decision is sound. bennett> Happily, you can just remove the antique perl they include, and build a Bennett> current one. 5.001m builds very easily under 2.0.5R; I imagine it won't have Bennett> too much trouble, and will be quickly adjusted to fix anything they break, Bennett> for 2.1R. Indeed. I imagine there's a port for it, too. -- Cheers =8-} Chipsy
