I am able to switch to different virtual consoles, but keystrokes aren't echoed. How To Reproduce: Untar a large archive (mine is about 250MB), after tar has read about a quarter of the archive, I get a timeout (st0) message, followed by a series of "timeout (sd0)" messages (occuring at about the same rate that the disks get sync'd. I am able to read small files from the tape, but I have problems with large files. anyway, does anyone have any suggestions? thanks, grant
