I've tried installing on the second partition : of a 1.6 GB EIDE drive, and as the sole partition on a 540 MB EIDE : drive - same results as yours both times. I get that exact same behavior on my 486dx2/66 (8mg ram) with both my 420mb and 275mb ide drives (on a vlb controller) Has anybody come up with any hints/fixes for this?
