I use kermit to connect to my provider and then switch to kernel ppp,
i. e. pppd. If I then hang up using kermit, I cannot reconnect. I get
a modem not available or something from kermit. I have the permission
for /dev/ttyd1 set as follows

 0 crwxrwxrwx 1 root wheel 28, 1 Oct 20 22:57 ttyd1*

so I can do all of this as a plain old user. Any thoughts on this problem?

Later,
FM
