I was given a computer with an ATAPI IDE CD-ROM drive and a 16-bit sound card. As far as I can tell, the CD-ROM drive uses a Mitsumi interface. I think the main problem is that I have no way of knowing what the base IO address of either the drive or the card. Possibly I'm using the wrong device name--I've tried the mcd? and matcd? devices. If you are familiar with what IO address I might use, or how I might find out, and what devices I should use for the drive and the card, I would very much appreciate any info. Please don't reply here, but instead mailto:trs@azstarnet.com. Thanks! Tim
