Unfortunately, I can't read or write to the serial port. The message returned is always: <dsevice_name>: Device not configured At boot up, the system reports: ... sio0 at 0X3f8-0x3ff irq 4 on isa sio0: type 16550A sio1 at 0x2f8-0x2ff irq 3 on isa sio1: type 16550A ... Is there a utility for configuring serial ports before using them? (Can't find anything useful with apropos.) Has the system failed to attach the device to /dev? What the heck's going on? Please help! Casper Boden-Cummins.
