I'm running the pppd that came with my installation of FreeBSD to setup an ip conneciton. The command line I'm using is this: /usr/sbin/pppd /dev/cuaa1 19200 my.ip.address.here: xonxoff defaultroute It seems to connect properly, change the default route, etc. When I ping through the terminal server to anohter machine on the network, the ping times seem reasonable. When I generate HTTP traffic, it seems to flow fairly consistantly. The problem is, when I TELNET through the ppp connection, it seems to crawl! It takes several seconds for anything I type to go through.. It seems to connect to the remote machine pretty quickly, it just takes forever to get anyhting I type to be sent through. Has anybody else seen this problem? Can somebody give me a pointer on what to change/look for?
