The plun-and-play is not a bad feature. It is not screwy. The 3C509 card problem has been discussed for a long time. So, I spent a several days to fix the bug and send the patch back via send-pr about a couple of months ago. I did not heard the reply and see the patch applied. I guess the send-pr may be lost. I am not sure what happened to above problem. However, use irq 15 for 3C509 card is a better choice. IRQ 10 is often used for many devices. Typically, if some PCI video card or SCSI card installed, the system will hang during the booting phase. -- /-------------- Jin Guojun ------------ v ---- Internet: g_jin@lbl.gov ----\ | Imaging & Distributed Computing | Usenet: ucbvax!g_jin@lbl.gov | | Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory | Bitnet: -- | | 50B-2239, Berkeley, CA 94720 - jin%george.lbl.gov@Csa3.LBL.Gov |
