I have had no problems using another digiboard with my BSDI 1.1 system. I have the modem dip switches precisely the same (I'm using a USR Sportster v.34). The 'digi0' device in the kernel works fine. The system boots up properly. The 'TR' light on the modem stays off, until the system runs 'getty'. 'getty' runs properly, and the 'TR' light on the modem lights up. But that's it. The modem will answer calls, but getty never gives the login prompt. The process doesn't do anything.. just keeps the 'TR' light on. Here are some settings I have tried : in '/etc/ttys': ttyA00 "/usr/libexec/getty std.115200" dialup on # Digiboard P1 ttyA00 "/usr/libexec/getty std.57600" dialup on # Digiboard P1 ttyA00 "/usr/libexec/getty std.38400" dialup on # Digiboard P1 and also: ttyA00 "/usr/libexec/getty usr.115200" dialup on # Digiboard P1 where 'usr.115200' is in '/etc/gettytab': usr.115200:\ :np:bi:hf:sp#115200:im=\r\n\r\nGALILEO FIGARO (%h) (%t)\r\n\r\n: I've also tried another terminal type ('vt100'). Nothing works. It just doesn't respond. Any ideas? +--------------------------------------------------------------+ | David Pisoni davidp@leonardo.net | | System Administrator david@isaac.biola.edu | | Leonardo Internet http://www.ac.biola.edu/~david | +--------------------------------------------------------------+
