We are in the process of adding a few PC's running BSD to our existing network.
Up until now, the only machines which contained data which required archiving
were two Sequent S27's. These were set up as trusted hosts, and rdump is
used to dump remote volumes to one machine.

We are trying to get the BSD machines to rdump to one of the sequents now and
are having problems. I have tried making the BSD machine a trusted host on
the Sequent, and I've even gone so far as to include an entry in root's
.rhost file on the Sequent. Every time we try to run rdump we get a
"Permission Denied" error on the BSD machine. We do not get any kind of
error in the Sequent's syslog.

I have also been unable to NFS share BSD volumes to the Sequents either.

Are these related?

Does anyone have any recommendations for getting rdump to a Sequent working?
We are running Dynix 3.1.2 if that makes a difference.

Thanks for any help you can give me!
