I just managed to test the new bootblocks on a floppy (at last).
They worked! I was able to select a kernel from the floppy
and also a kernel from one of the hard disks.
however:
booting the kernel from floppy was EXCRUCIATINGLY slow.
I think that if you don't need the extra features, stick with the
old floppy bootblocks!
