Topic: "An opinion of what sys admin's should do for their
user community"

Ted Leibfried is a researcher at AT&T Bell Labs who has experience with
System programming, system administration as well as being a user. He
will talk about his experience as each, and what he feels SA's should
(and shouldn't) do for the users. He will also address the topic of
what scholarly qualifications a good SA should have and a few horrible
examples from my own experiences over the past 15 or so years of where
the precepts were violated. Ted received his Ph. D. in E.E. from Rice
University, his M. Eng. from M. Eng. Phys. Univ. of Va., his M.B.A.
from Leland Stanford Jr. University, and his M.E. from Stevens Inst.
(Why do I suddenly have a craving for alphabet soup?)
