You might want to add lines that are missing in the default setup, and you shall replace the ``cons25'' TERM setting by something like ``vt100'', ``vt220'', or ``pcvt25''. (``vt100'' is probably the most generic value when you're regularly connecting to a large number of other sites in the internet.
