Makes me think of the problems I experienced when I set my umask for root somewhat restrictive (umask 77, AFAIR): All packages and ports I installed weren't usable for any other user than root if they didn't check the permissions on their own when installing. So beware of being to restrictive, sometimes it makes things more difficult then they need to be...
