Apple et al of course retain every right. The underlying question is how many of our tax dollars should be spent in the form of courts, sherrifs, law enforcement, etc. to provide those engaged in strategic litigation with such monopolies? Remember, they can't do these kind of things without our help in the form of massive tax dollar subsidies. Some such protection is justified, but what we as a citizenry have to examine are the limits: When does a company have a bona-fide right to their intellectual property, and when are they just abusing the edges of the law to cause tax-payers to enforce a monopoly for them? -- -Barry Shein Software Tool & Die | bzs@world.std.com | uunet!world!bzs Purveyors to the Trade | Voice: 617-739-0202 | Login: 617-739-WRLD
