Speaking of which from the 14 Sep 92 (volume 9, number 37) PC Week: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ A search of Symantec CEO Gordon Eubank's office and two residences, conducted by the Santa Cruz County District Attourney's Office on Sept. 2, turned up items the DA's office called "critical, confidential information about Borland's business." These items include: o E-mail from former Borland Vice President Gene Wang to Eubanks dated 8/20/92 and 8/26/92. o A beige canvas "Symantec: bag containing a folder with miscellaneous papers identified as memos and confidential typed notes with Borland mentioned. o Miscellaneous memos, letters and correspondance, found in a garbage can, identifying Wang. o 13 books and pamphlets published for "Borland International" found on a bookshelf. The DA's office also confiscated items from Wang's home, including: o Software and documentation sent by mail listing information on Borland languages software. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) HUMOR IMPAIRMENT LINE! And we all know that the standards and high levels of system administration on the Internet make forging mail messages impossible! The "typed notes" mentioning Borland are an obvious attempt by Symantec to compete with Borland for revenues by doing _market research_! The scoundrels! And the memos about/to/from Wang! What *evil* can Symantec have mind? Perhaps Symantec managment, even as this is being written, is *communicating* with *other* employees! Purchasing published materials! And from Borland! Has the man no taste?!? And "13"! A cabalistic number if ever there was one! Perhaps he has fallen in with the politicians in a pursuit of "voodoo" economics! But the worst of all, Wang! What "Hannibal Lector" mentality prompted him to get his name put on a mailing list?!? The scourolous depths to which humanity may descend! 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) HUMOR IMPAIRMENT LINE! DO NOT CROSS! HUMOR IMPAIRMENT LINE! All of this BS is getting a bit ridiculous.
