Under BSDI 2.0 I issue ifconfig ef0 alias.ip.number alias The system seem to like it, but I can ping the second address. However, from another node on the local area network, I can. The really strange part arises when dial-up users connect to a different box running BSDI 1.1 they can't see the aliased IP.
