Welcome to 'MicroSloth', we rule the world. M$ asked to add some extenstions to the PPP protocol that didn't belong, so the Internet Task Force (I think that's who they are, someone correct me if I'm wrong) turned them down. Now, being the type of company they are, they of course agree with the ruling and decided to follow the rules. (NOT!) M$ added these extensions to all of their products, expecting the rest of the world to bow to their wishes via the sheer #'s of folks who would complain about the link not working. The bottom line is that it's a bug in M$ PPP implementation that should be taken up with M$. They are *intentionally* breaking the rules just to see if they can do it, and if we allow them to do it here it only gives them the nerve to do it again. However, this doesn't help you with your Win95 box. For that I have no solution except to give M$ tech-support a ring and make sure they don't blame the problem on FreeBSD. We are *following* spec., and they aren't. For more details on the problem checkout the BSDi mailing lists archives, where it is discussed in greater detail.
