4.4Lite is the ``untainted'' source, as it has been blessed by the
owners of UNIX after settling the BSD vs. USL suit.

4.4Lite is *not* a complete & runnable operating system (4.4BSD is).
That's why you've got NetBSD 1 / FreeBSD 2 / BSD/OS 2.  (The latter
being the commercial brother.)
