I also do a fair amount of development work for Unix and want to have the facility to do some of this at home. Which means I need a Unix system. As far as I know NetBSD for PowerMac is still under development (correct me if I'm wrong) and I'm loathe to pay for a Unix system if I can get one for free. I know Linux won't run on the DOS card because it looks at the BIOS and doesn't like what it sees (so I'm told). Does anyone know if this also applies to FreeBSD/NetBSD? The BIOS that came with the DOS card says it is "Chips & Technologies 80486 ROM BIOS v 503" TIA for your advice, Dave Smith Dave. Dave Smith, Somerford Consultancy Ltd., dave@maildulf.demon.co.uk
