If you did not get "Erased Pencil Mark" message, then every thing should be OK. One thing you need to be awared is that the AUTO mode (set by 3c5x9cfg utility under DOS) is not a good choice. Pick up either AUI or TP whicheven you connected to and save the configuration to the adapter. ---------------------------------22138548292152408515765164 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Type: text/plain From: xcaliber@eden.rutgers.edu (Gerald Ranada) Newsgroups: comp.unix.bsd.freebsd.misc Subject: 3Com 3c509 Date: 8 Nov 1995 20:05:33 -0500 Organization: Rutgers University Message-ID: <47rk4t$r7g@er5.rutgers.edu> Has anyone got the 3com 3c509 ethernet adapter working with FreeBSD? If so, please tell me the kernel revision and the things I have to do to get it working. It seems that the dang ethernet light won't turn on within the hub, :(. Thanks.... ---------------------------------22138548292152408515765164--
