When its 32-bit features are used...) Are you winding me up or what? FreeBSD is 32 bit "pure" as it is, and will therefore benefit implicitly from the "features" present in the new Pentium Pro. What may be an issue is getting gcc to compile appropriately optimized code for the new machine - AFAIK gcc is yet to output Pentium optimzed code. This is not Windows 95. This is UNIX. Neil
