The problem area with the ADAP1542C is the controller(s) both want to be at I/O addr 330, you can change the other to be 334, Also you need to change the IRQ, ( Make the 1st IRQ 11, the second IRQ 12, also you have to reset the memory range that the cards use. Also you have to disable at least one of the Floppy controllers. (If memory serves, DipSwitch 6) Check in the Adaptec Documentation. If by chance, you have lost the ADAPTEC documentation. ADAP. has a FAX-BACK service. ftp to ftp.adaptec.com and the prompt will give you the FAX number. Remember that you must change (1) Floppy controller (disable one) or both. (2) Change the I/O Address for first to 330, the second to 334( or any free I/O (3) Change the IRQ for the first to IRQ11, the second to IRQ12. (4) Change the Memory Address for the first to ? ( what it says in the FBSD doc. change the memory address for the second to ?++ (5) Change the DMA High Speed and Low speed to avoid a conflict. + I would, if I were you, and you have the capability, disable the Floppy Ports and use the floppy on the I/O Card. Gary :-) P.S. If question email me.
