The solution is to disable MS proprietary data compression protocol
over PPP. I tried it with Win95 June test release and it worked fine,
except its average performance was more than two times weaker than
between Win95 and NT Server. I am almost sure MS did not change a bit
in the basic PPP implementation and I find data compression a great
feature. You are not supposed to transfer zipped files all the time,
are you?
