I think i've found what appears to be a problem with installing from
floppy with the current 2.1 snap... i've tried it on two machines, and it
won't work on either...many of the problems on the debug screen scroll by
too fast for me to read, but these were reported on the dialog screen

"Unable to swap to /dev/wd0s1b device not configured"

and

"unable to make file system on /dev/rwd0a command returned status one"

I got the same errors on both machines (one of which has 2.0R installed
and running well) they have different controllers, one is eide and one
is either ide or eide (it's not my machine) the small machine has 8 meg
of ram and 1.51 gig of hard drive space, the bigger one has 12 meg of ram
and 1.2 gig of hard drive space... the floppy boots fine, and the install
procedure runs well until they need to write the the hard drive, at which
point it gives those types of errors, and aborts... can anyone give me an
idea of how to work around this? At the moment all i can think of is to
use the 2.0.5 install floppy to make the file systems, and install over
them...

Thanks a lot...

Christine
