The system is set up with each user having two separate accounts -- one for shell access and the other for PPP access. The PPP account is the shell userid with a 'P' as a prefix (i.e. user "jasonb" logs in as "Pjasonb" for PPP access). This works slickly and drops the user directly into PPP after login, but one problem... My Problem: The change password command only alters the user's shell account, which makes sense because to execute the 'chpass' command the user would have to be logged in and running from the shell, but the PPP account retains the old password. How would it be possible for the user to alter the PPP account password OR (and better still) how can I force 'chpass' to alter the passwords on both accounts when the user executes it under the shall account?
