Any help would be appreciated. I've never tried this, but I don't see any reason why you couldn't simply "cd" to the appropriate directory, probably /usr, and unpack the archives you require. After this use /stand/sysinstall to do a post install configuration of X. There may be a few subtleties that I've missed, but there you go. BTW, I would be grateful if you could get in touch with me if this works as I will be using this method soon myself - for some reason doing an ftp installation is a great deal slower that grabbing the archives directly by ftp. Hmmm. Neil -- Dis dude page aint kept down t'date 'sept when volun- teers wanna maintain it. If ya' find some discrepancy between de dude page and da damn software, please check de Info stash, which be de audo'itative documentashun.
