OK, I've read the faq concerning >1024 cylinders, and have attempted
to create a boot partition well within this restriction.. but no matter how many different ways I try it (15 at last count!) I still can't get past the
boot manager or "missing OS" at bootup.

(using 2.05R)
I've got an Adaptec 1542 w/ 2.10 bios, and a Microp 1528 (1.3GB SCSI)
It says during the partitioning that the "correct" geometry is 4369x12x50
all attempts to alter this yield an "incorrect geometry" msg.

I've tried setting the bios translation off and on in the Adaptec setup,
no change.. drive still won't boot. Latest attempt was making the first
partition 250MB..still no go..

hoping this is a silly problem, as I am running out of combinations to try :(
